How does the Massage Pad work?
The Equilibrium Therapy Massage Pad has built-in massage motors that can be set to three different levels - high, medium and low - using the control box. With these different levels you can choose the intensity of the program that suits your horse. Each program has three different types of massage - pulsing, vibrating and stroking - which alternate cyclically to ensure that the muscles are worked in different ways.
The Therapy Massage Pad from Equilibrium can be easily integrated into your warm up and cool down routine: the medium setting is ideal for warming up your muscles before training and... low setting can be used to cool down after work. The high setting helps relieve back pain and can be used when your horse needs a more intense massage. Each session lasts 30 minutes and can be stopped manually at any time.
The Massage Pad is suitable for most horses and ponies, however for very large or very wide horses, the XL size is recommended. The XL Pad has a slightly wider fit and therefore has an extra girth.
Equilibrium's Therapy Massage Pad comes in a handy carrying bag, so the pad can easily be taken to the stable, training, competitions etc. The pad is easy to clean and can be stored in the carrying bag which also provides ample storage space for the battery and charger.
Equilibrium's Therapy Massage Pad is used by many Olympic riders, world champions and top trainers, but is also widely used by amateurs and future stars. The pad can be used alone or together with the massage glove for an all-over massage.

Benefits of massage
Massage therapy has been shown to help reduce back stiffness caused by injuries or long-term chronic conditions such as arthritis. It does this by increasing blood flow to the affected muscles and removing waste build-up.
Tension is often one of the most common causes of poor performance and by improving relaxation and improving back flexibility through massage, the negative effects of tension can be reduced.
The Equilibrium Standard Massage Pad is available in three different sizes. Choose the size that best suits your horse and remember that bigger does not necessarily mean more effective. If necessary, measure the length of the horse's back and compare it with the length of the different pads to make the best choice.
A guideline can be:
Small: length approx. 60 cm, for ponies and horses with blanket size up to approx. 125 cm (back length)
Standard: length approx. 70 cm, for horses with blanket size from 135 cm to 155 cm (back length)
X-Large: Length approximately 80 cm and suitable for larger or wide horses with a blanket size from 155 cm.
