The QuickChill cooling blanket from Equilibrium – smart cooling without using a lot of water
The Quick Chill cooling blanket from Equilibrium is the smart way to cool your horse on hot days, without it getting soaking wet. This innovative blanket works with a special technology that is activated by water and conducts heat away from the horse's body - for optimal comfort and effective cooling.
When do you use it?
- To cool your horse down without getting soaked
- During hot competition days – before, between or after your test
- During transport, if your horse gets warm quickly
- For horses that do not like the garden hose or running water
- In places without access to running water (such as on outdoor rides or during competitions)
- During training or events with limited water supply

How does it work?
The blanket is designed with the well-being of your horse in mind. It cools without having to rinse with water.
Made of breathable high-tech material with an open cell structure, specially developed to absorb and retain water. The structure allows water molecules to circulate, but retains the water in such a way that your horse does not feel wet.
Usage:

Completely submerge the blanket in a bucket of water or wet it thoroughly.

Wring out the excess water.

Place it on your horse – done!
You can also wet the blanket at home and take it with you in a plastic bag for later use. It remains activated as long as it is moist.
Cooling by evaporation
The heat from your horse is absorbed into the cooler blanket and is removed via evaporation. Just like sweating, but faster and more efficient. The cooling section specifically covers the back and gluteal muscles. The rest of the blanket is made of mesh: light, breathable and ideal for summer conditions.
NB:
Feel the blanket regularly. If it gets warm, you can easily reactivate it by wetting it again. In humid climates, water evaporates more slowly – so check more often.
Machine washable at 30°C. Let dry naturally. Do not put in the dryer or near direct heat sources.
