What materials are used in Stretch & Flex Wraps?
Stomatex® was originally developed for athletes and provides 4-way stretch so it can be used around mobile joints. In addition, Stomatex has a unique ability to keep the skin dry. The material ensures that the horse's legs remain cool and maintain an ideal skin temperature over a longer period of time. The material works by effectively moving moisture molecules from the underside of the fabric using movement into small dome-shaped chambers that contain a small pore in the center. This also gives the fabric its unique appearance.
Automotive Grade Cushioning Spacer Mesh: This mesh is strategically placed over the vulnerable tendon area to provide extra protection. The spacer fabric has an extra jersey material on the inside of the leg protectors to create an even softer lining against the horse's leg. The spacer fabric works perfectly as a "cushion" and is comfortable to wear, while also allowing heat and moisture to pass through, allowing sweat and heat to escape from the skin.
Who are Stretch & Flex Training Wraps intended for?
Stretch & Flex Wraps are designed primarily for training and lessons, or as an easy, comfortable and protective competition boot. They are shaped around the contours of the horse's legs, including the fetlock, making them ideal for young horses or horses that move a lot, or simply to provide extra protection around the fetlock.
The material and design also make them ideal for horses and ponies recovering from injuries, horses with joint problems such as arthritis, or to provide gentle padding over scars or galls.

Can be used front and back, but you usually choose a size larger for the hind legs than for the front legs.
