FLEXINEB E3 - The very best inhaler for horses!!
Flexineb E3 is a revolutionary, mobile and silent inhaler with the option of nebulizing medication, saline solution and other preparations. VNebulization is an excellent therapy for respiratory problems. The Flexineb has been specially developed for treating respiratory problems in horses, such as COPD, RAO and EIPH, dampness and allergies, but also for more acute problems such as excessive mucus or a (recurrent) cough.
The Flexineb® works via the so-called piezo effect. Here the liquid to be inhaled is mechanically sieved through a vibrating membrane (similar to powdered sugar, which is atomized through a sieve). This results in the fine mist with an optimal particle yield, which also reaches and can work in the smallest lung areas (71% of the nebulized particles have a particle size of 5my, 39% between 2 and 5my, 23.75% between 1 and 2my).
Using piezo technology, many medicines and preparations can now be nebulized that were previously considered non-nebulizable.
The Flexineb E3 is almost silent, making it perfect for use with horses. Robust and quiet, so heyIt minimizes any stress on the horse.
The Flexineb is mobile : it works on batteries without hoses. This allows you to mist almost anywhere. In addition, the horse can be kept in motion (for example during lunging). This is especially good because the horse then breathes more deeply than when standing still, creating optimal conditions for successful nebulization.
The soft, flexible mask fits easily over the horse's nose and ensures optimal fit, without pressing or pinching. Proper fit is important to maximize inhalation of nebulized medications and alternative treatments. Whether and how the horse inhales the mist can be observed through the transparent aerosol chamber.

The Flexineb E3 has:
Adjustable speed - Flexineb E3 now offers the option to set speed: low, medium and high.
Automatic tuning - Flexineb E3 now automatically scans every 30 seconds to determine the optimal performance effect.
Auto off mode - Flexineb E3 now automatically switches off when detecting a dry medicine cup. This prevents vibrations during dry standstill, which protects the membrane.
Extensive off function - Flexineb E3 now automatically switches off after 35 minutes (previously 18 minutes) when treated with 30 ml.
Battery life indicator - Flexineb E3 has a 3-step battery status indicator: low, medium and high.
Software upgrade - Flexineb E3 has the option for software upgrades via USB connection. Particularly relevant for the global research projects in which Flexineb is involved.

Medicine cups
The medicine cup is part of the Flexineb E3 inhaler system. Medicines and/or alternative treatments are filled into the medicine cup and then converted into a fine mist for inhalation. The medicine cup is a replaceable part of the Flexineb E2 system with a shelf life of approximately 150 doses, depending on the medicines used and maintenance.
Gray medicine cups are recommended for use with antibiotics such as Gentamicin and Amikacin, bronchodilators such as Clenbuterol and corticosteroids such as Dexamethasone. These are the standard cups from Flexineb.
Green medicine cups are recommended for use of difficult-to-aerosol antibiotics, such as Cobactan®, Excenel® and R-Nystatin, and alternative treatments such as Balsamic Air. These cups ensure faster delivery and are suitable for thicker solutions.
Blue medicine cups are recommended for use with Nebulin. They provide slower delivery with excellent aerosol quality.

Mini (35-45 cm) (for foals to small ponies)
Standard (45-55 cm) (for larger ponies to large warmbloods)
Max (55-65 cm) (for XL warmbloods or coldbloods)
Our experience is that the masks fit quite large. The Standard size usually fits from a large pony to horses of approximately 1.85 m withers height. Are you in doubt? Then you can first try out our rental model!
Tip: Is your Standard or Max Flexineb just a little too wide, or do you want to use it on different horses? Then you can be the smart one adapter kit order again. This ensures a good seal - so that your horse benefits optimally from the nebulized medication or other treatments.
How do you measure your horse's nose circumference?
Place the measuring tape about a finger's width below the noseband of the halter.
The halter should be positioned so that the noseband is, if possible, two finger widths below the cheekbone.
