Self-adhesive wound dressings that hold the gauze in place in areas where a regular bandage won’t stay. Flexible, gentle on the skin, and with sterile gauze pads included in the package—ready for the stable, the trailer, and the competition kit.

Small wounds rarely occur in places where it’s easy to apply a bandage—the elbow, abdomen, neck, or just above the hock. Equi-Fixt is designed for precisely those areas: a flexible, self-adhesive bandage that holds the gauze and wound dressing in place and moves with the horse.

What is Equi-Fixt?
Equi-Fixt is a thin patch made of 4-way stretch material with a skin-friendly adhesive surface. You place a compress over the wound, and the bandage holds it in place—without wraps or tape wrapped all the way around the leg. The package contains both bandages in two sizes and sterile compresses, so you have everything you need when an accident happens.

Here’s what you get

  • Stays in place in tricky spots. The bandage has 4-way stretch and conforms to the horse’s shape and movements, so it can be used even where a regular bandage slips or won’t stay in place.
  • Quick first aid. Everything is ready to go in one package—convenient for the stable, the trailer, and the show bag.
  • Gentle on the skin. Hypoallergenic and latex-free adhesive surface, suitable for sensitive skin and easy to remove.

How to get the bandage to stay in place—read before use
Equi-Fixt stays in place when applied correctly. Most bandages that fall off do so because of one of four reasons: the skin was damp, the pad was too large, the bandage was cold, or the edges weren’t pressed down firmly.

Rule of thumb: Warm the bandage—use a small compress underneath—make sure the coat is clean and dry—press the edges firmly.

Why does the size of the gauze pad matter so much?
The most common mistake is using a gauze pad that’s almost as big as the bandage. Then there’s not enough adhesive surface left to hold it in place—and the bandage comes off quickly. Let the gauze pad cover the wound, and let the bandage do the rest.

Remember!
Equi-Fixt is for first aid and the care of minor wounds. It is not a substitute for veterinary treatment. Always contact your veterinarian for deep, severe, heavily bleeding, infected, or poorly healing wounds—or simply to discuss your horse’s specific wound and how best to treat it.

The package contains

  • 3 × square bandages, 95 × 95 mm, with rounded corners
  • 2 × rectangular strips, 95 × 330 mm
