Some horses are naturally restless. Others are completely balanced in their daily lives but lose their composure in certain situations—during transport, at the show ring, when the clippers are turned on, or when fireworks go off on New Year’s Eve. EquiCool 'n Calm is the dietary supplement that helps both types of horses regain their calm, composure, and focus.

What it is and what it does

EquiCool 'n Calm works directly on the horse’s nervous system to dampen the alarm response that occurs when the horse is under pressure. The combination of the amino acid L-tryptophan and an easily absorbed form of magnesium acts as a natural brake on the nervous system—it helps dampen acute alarm reactions and reduces the negative impact of stress hormones on the horse when needed.

The broad range of active ingredients ensures that EquiCool 'n Calm works for many horses, regardless of the cause of their restlessness—and with fast, visible results.

It helps

Calm the nervous system when it matters most. L-tryptophan and magnesium work together to dampen overreactivity and agitation in the brain, helping the horse regain balance more quickly in a stressful situation.

Physical relaxation, not just mental calm. The amino acid glycine also helps the muscles relax, reducing physical tension and motor restlessness—while vitamin B1 works together with the magnesium source to counteract mental exhaustion.

A stable gut under pressure. Stress immediately affects the horse’s gastrointestinal tract, and this can further exacerbate restless behavior. The live yeast culture (probiotics) and prebiotic fibers (MOS) in EquiCool 'n Calm support a robust bacterial flora, ensuring that the intestinal environment remains healthy and stable, even when the horse is under stress.

How to Use It

EquiCool 'n Calm can be used in two ways, depending on the horse’s needs:

Short-term, in situations where the horse needs a little extra help—for example, during transport, shows, moving, clipping, or visits from the farrier and veterinarian. It’s also an ideal choice for New Year’s Eve when the fireworks start.

As a regular part of daily life, if the horse needs more sustained support—for example, during behavior training, rehabilitation, or as a supplement to a good daily training routine. The product can easily be used continuously, in combination with a good basic diet.

EquiCool 'n Calm is suitable for all breeds and age groups.

"Will it make my horse drowsy?"

No. EquiCool 'n Calm does not have a sedative or drowsy effect—it simply helps the horse be more balanced and focused. So you won’t end up with a horse that’s “turned off,” but rather one that’s present and calmer within itself, even when under pressure.

How to dose it

EquiCool 'n Calm is a powder, and the dosage is adjusted based on what the horse needs at the moment:

• Maintenance: 30 g daily.
• Intensive support: 30 g twice daily, for short periods of up to 7 days—for situations where the horse needs a little extra.

The dose can be adjusted individually and does not necessarily depend on the horse’s weight—it’s about the level of agitation, not the horse’s size. A heaping scoop is included, which holds approximately 30 g, making it easy to measure the correct amount every time.

The powder mixes easily into the horse’s daily feed and can also be mixed into mash or other wet feed just before feeding. If the horse is in an acute or stressful situation and does not feel like eating, the powder can instead be mixed with a little water or apple juice and administered directly into the mouth using a syringe.
