All Sports Protection

The Equilibrium leg protectors are made in a 4-layer system. The first layer is the perforated inner lining, which sits comfortably against the horse's legs.

Layer two is a strong net. This adds another layer of protection to the protectors, and also prevents soil or other debris from getting under the protectors.

Layer three is the internal protection. This layer is located on the vulnerable tendon area and is made of strips of material, so that they can form properly around the horse's leg. This allows the horse to move freely, without the feeling of a 'splint'.

Finally, the outer layer: a durable, breathable and attractive material. Equilibrium has ensured that this material is easy to clean and easy to maintain!

Choosing protectors for your horse usually involves compromises. The more you add to a protector, the heavier and less breathable they become. However, if the protectors are too light, you will find that they are not protective enough. Equilibrium went for a golden middle ground with their All Sports protectors - an all-round, lightweight protector, suitable for most disciplines.

Sizes

The All Sports protectors are available for small ponies up to and including large horses. See the size chart for a guide to which size is most suitable for your horse.

Size chartl

Equilibrium's measurements are based on the horse's height in combination with the height and circumference of the legs. 

In the table you will find the following sizes:

(A) the outline of the horse's leg

(B) Height of the Boots 

and

(C ) for a stick measure of

If you measure the height and circumference of the horse's leg (see picture), you can use those measurements to check whether you have the right size. 

Tip:  If you measure a certain size for the front legs, you often choose a size larger for the rear legs (for example M at the front, then L at the back), unless it is a specific front and rear leg model. 

NB: the size chart is only a guide, and your horse may have different sizes.

Care

Washing instructions: Close the Velcro and use a laundry bag if necessary. Wash the protectors at vmax 30 degrees. Naturally drier.
