Eclipse Biofarmab
Psyllium seed
Psyllium (also called psyllium) has been a known remedy for sand colic for years. It is the husk of the psyllium seed that, when it comes into contact with liquid, forms a jelly-like substance, which can help transport sand from your horse's digestive system.
The Psyllium seeds from Biofarmab are whole seeds. Whole seeds have the same effect as ground or crushed seeds, but have a longer shelf life. The other major advantage of using whole seeds is that the slimy substance is only formed when the seeds reach the horse's stomach, i.e. they do not immediately stick to the food trough, nor do they immediately become a slimy substance in the mouth, which many horses find less pleasant when eating.
Most horses like to eat the whole psyllium seeds, but if you have a very picky horse, you can opt for a variant with a tasty apple flavor.
You can give psyllium seed separately or together with concentrates, supplements, a handful of alfalfa or, for best absorption, over mash or soaked beet pulp.
