Does this sound familiar? It’s just past four o’clock, and you’re still out on your horseback ride. The light is fading fast, fog is settling over the fields, and you know that the car behind you won’t see you until its headlights hit your reflective vest. Reflective material only works when light hits it. An active light ensures you’re seen sooner.

Woof Wear 3-in-1 Rider Safety Lights are two small, rechargeable LED lights: a white one to face forward and a red one to face backward. You attach them to your riding helmet, arm, or leg/riding boot using the elastic straps. This way, other road users can see which direction you’re heading, and you can ride with peace of mind, even after dark.

Here’s what you get

• Others can see which way you’re coming from: A white light in front and a red light in back follow the same pattern that drivers recognize from bicycles and cars. This makes it easier for them to quickly tell whether you’re coming toward them or moving away.
• The light stays where you want it: The straps have silicone grips, so the lights stay in place and don’t slip, even at a trot. Attach them to your helmet to be seen from high up, on your arm, or on your leg/boot. That’s what “3-in-1” means.
• Lights suited to your ride: With 5 light modes, you can choose a bright beam for a short ride at dusk or a dim, flashing light that lasts for many hours. The lights are IPX4 water-resistant and can withstand rain and water splashes, so they can be used year-round in Danish fall and winter weather.

How to use them

• Turn on/off: Press and hold the mode button for about 2 seconds.
• Change mode: Click the button.
• Mode memory: The light starts in the mode it was in when turned off, so you’re quickly ready to go.

The 5 modes:

• High: brightest light
• Mid: medium light
• Low: low light, longest battery life
• DRL (Daytime Running Light): alternates between slow and fast flashes, so you stand out in traffic
• Flash: flashes at a steady rhythm

Tip: Use DRL or Flash when riding along the road. Flashing lights catch the eye faster than a steady light. Charge the lights after your ride so they’re ready for next time.

Charging and Battery

The lights are charged via USB using the included dual cable, so you can charge both at the same time. The indicator lights up red while charging and green when the light is fully charged. If it lights up red during use, the battery is running low. Remember to close the cover over the port after charging to keep the light sealed.

Are these right for you?

These lights are for you if you ride at dusk, in the dark, in fog, or in the rain—whether on the road, a gravel path, or in the woods—and want to be more visible to others. They are a supplement to a reflective vest and leg reflectors, not a replacement. Use them together, and you’ll be visible whether or not you have the lights on.

Runtime and Brightness

According to the manufacturer’s specifications (lm = lumen; the higher the number, the brighter the light):

White light (front):

• High, 40 lm: up to 1 hr 30 min
• Medium, 20 lm: up to 3 hours 10 minutes
• Low, 2 lm: up to 26 hours 45 minutes
• DRL, 40 lm peak: up to 8 hours
• Flash, 20 lm peak: up to 26 t

Red light (rear):

• High, 20 lm: up to 45 min
• Medium, 10 lm: up to 1 h 15 min
• Low, 1 lm: up to 12 hours
• DRL, 20 lm peak: up to 2 h 30 min
• Flash, 10 lm peak: up to 11 t

Note that the red light runs out before the white light in all modes. For a longer ride in the dark, DRL or Flash offers the best balance between visibility and battery life.
